One-to-one training
Consultations and residential training, tailored to your dog's individual needs.
Consultations
£120 (£20 deposit, £100 on the day)
Consultations run Monday to Friday at 10:00 am at my training centre.
During the consultation, we will cover everything you need to know to move forward. After discussing the issues that you are experiencing, we usually spend the first hour introducing marker training, learning how to create a safe place for our dogs to switch off on command, impulse control, and more.
Once we have got a solid foundation of impulse control, we progress outside using the distraction of dogs on the other side of a fence and build up to lead work, where I use one of my dogs as a distraction on the lead. This being said, the consultation is very much tailored to your individual needs.
To book, you will need to pay a £20 deposit. In return, I will send an hour and a half recorded webinar designed to cover all of the generic information required to get started and start to implement the following:
- How to read and use body signals
- How to use marker training
- Preparation
- Positive
- Negative
- Release
- Understand the science behind dog training
- How to place boundaries at home red zone areas
- Impulse control
The cost of the consultation is £120. A £20 deposit is paid via bank transfer, and the option of paying £100 cash or bank transfer on the day of the consultation.

“Fred was an absolute nightmare. A previous dog trainer had told us to avoid dogs, cats, squirrels, etc., but Colin showed us how to actually take control of the situation”
Residential training
£1,400 for a one-month stay
Over the 17 years that I've been working as a dog behaviourist, I've worked with many which have required residential training. As part of your dog's training programme, I will work on his or her social skills, lead work, impulse control, obedience, and more.
The programme will be tailored to your dog's individual needs and circumstances, and your dog will be treated as my own, living at my house and accompanying me in various everyday life scenarios while I work on rehabilitating their challenging behaviours.
I have worked with cases from as far as Jersey, France, Switzerland, Scotland, Ireland, England, and all over Wales. Most are family pets, but many have been dogs living in a rescue centre which needed a second chance.

“From the first day to the present it was the best move we made, we can honestly say we trust Colin with Shadow 100%”
